Schindler's List, directed by Steven Spielberg from Thomas Keneally's book, was released by Universal Pictures in December 1993. Liam Neeson plays Oskar Schindler, the German industrialist who saved more than a thousand Jewish workers from the Holocaust by employing them in his factories, with Ben Kingsley as his accountant Itzhak Stern and Ralph Fiennes as the SS officer Amon Göth.
