More actions

Walt Disney Productions' animated musical fantasy film, supervised by David Hand with sequence directors Perce Pearce, William Cottrell, Larry Morey, Wilfred Jackson, and Ben Sharpsteen, based on the 1812 German fairy tale "Snow White" by the Brothers Grimm. Princess Snow White, hunted through the forest by her vain stepmother the Evil Queen after a magic mirror names her the fairest in the land, is sheltered by seven dwarfs -- Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, and Dopey -- until the disguised Queen tricks her into biting a poisoned apple. Distributed by RKO Radio Pictures, it premiered December 21, 1937, and was the first animated feature film produced in the United States and the first cel-animated feature film. (Wikipedia)
