Lucasfilm's epic space opera, written and directed by George Lucas and distributed by Twentieth Century-Fox, later retitled Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Princess Leia Organa's capture by the Galactic Empire sets farm boy Luke Skywalker on a path to rescue her, aided by droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, smuggler Han Solo and his ship the Millennium Falcon, and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, culminating in an X-wing assault on the Empire's Death Star. Released May 25, 1977, it launched the Star Wars franchise. In 2023, Citizen released a four-model Star Wars collaboration on its Record Label Ana-Digi Temp thermosensor case, reviving the 1982 analog-digital design with dials styled on R2-D2, C-3PO, an X-wing Starfighter, and the Millennium Falcon; this is separate from the ATTESA AT8385-55E, Citizen's The Mandalorian-licensed beskar watch.
