Strawberry Moon is a 2025 Japanese romance film directed by Mai Sakai, adapting Nao Akutagawa's bestselling novel. Ami Toma stars as Moe Sakurai, a young woman confined to her home by illness since childhood who is given six months to live at fifteen, and who falls for classmate Hinata Sato (Jun Saito) in the time she has left; Ayami Nakajo plays Rei Takato, seen thirteen years later. Yosuke Sugino, Anju Ikehata, Koyo Kurosaki, Hayato Yoshizawa, Kentaro Ito, Yuki Izumisawa, Shoko Ikezu, Jun Hashimoto, Rena Tanaka, and Yusuke Santamaria round out the cast. The film opened in Japanese theaters on 17 October 2025. (Shochiku)
