A high schooler recounts the way he blackmailed his fellow classmates into contributing to his literary magazine. (IMDb) Directed by Brian Dannelly and written by its star Chris Colfer, the comedy-drama premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on 21 April 2012 ahead of a January 2013 release, and narrates in flashback the last months of a small-town senior set on Northwestern and a career at The New Yorker. Colfer plays Carson Phillips opposite Allison Janney as his mother, with Christina Hendricks, Sarah Hyland, Rebel Wilson and Polly Bergen in her final screen role. (Wikipedia)
Watches
- Columbia Tailwhip
- Worn by Chris Colfer as Carson Phillips. The dark-blue watch visible on Carson and in the film poster appears to be a Columbia Tailwhip, probably reference CW006401; Watch-ID presents the colourway as a visual match rather than a confirmed reference, and the identification rests on a single photograph. Watch-ID's page pairs the poster with what reads as a separate film still, but that second panel is the poster's own wrist rotated 180 degrees and enlarged, which registers back onto the poster at 60 of 66 inliers, scale 0.574 and rotation -179.97 degrees. Carson's arms are crossed, so the watch reads upside down until it is flipped. No production frame shows the dial: the official trailer, a 1080p clip and five festival stills up to 4928 px all show the same navy strap and chrome buckle on his left wrist, corroborating that the poster prop is the on-set prop, but in every one the case is turned to the underside of the wrist, occluded, or motion blurred. The theatrical poster therefore stands as the promotional-artwork fallback. (Watch-ID)
