Danny Boyle's 2017 sequel brings Mark Renton, played by Ewan McGregor, back to Edinburgh twenty years after he robbed his friends, to face Simon "Sick Boy" Williamson (Jonny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and a newly escaped Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Sony Pictures released it through TriStar in January 2017 in the United Kingdom and March 2017 in the United States. (IMDb)

Worn by Ewan McGregor as Mark Renton. Propstore's T2 Trainspotting online auction (May 2017) sold Renton's wedding band and watch, in the production's own labelled box, keyed to the scene in which "Renton (Ewan McGregor) arrives in Edinburgh after being away for 20 years"; the lot's component list gives the watch as leather and stainless steel with "MWC Brand" markings and nothing more. MWC sells pilot's, dive and field watches, and the essay's tag line supports the maker only. (Propstore)
