Danny Boyle's 2017 sequel brings Mark Renton, played by Ewan McGregor, back to Edinburgh twenty years after he robbed his friends, to face Simon "Sick Boy" Williamson (Jonny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and a newly escaped Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Sony Pictures released it through TriStar in January 2017 in the United Kingdom and March 2017 in the United States. (IMDb)

Propstore's T2 Trainspotting online auction (May 2017) sold Renton's wedding band and watch, in the production's own labelled box, keyed to the scene in which "Renton (Ewan McGregor) arrives in Edinburgh after being away for 20 years"; the lot's component list gives the watch as leather and stainless steel with "MWC Brand" markings and nothing more. MWC sells pilot's, dive and field watches, and the essay's tag line supports the maker only. (Propstore)

Worn by Jonny Lee Miller as Simon. Propstore's T2 Trainspotting online auction (April 2017) sold Simon's bar fight costume, keyed to the scene in which "Renton (Ewan McGregor) and Simon's (Jonny Lee Miller) are reunited after 20 years and fight over Renton's original betrayal"; the component list gives a Calvin Klein shirt, Topman trousers, Poste shoes and a "Watch" of "Stainless Steel" with "'Casio' brand" markings, in "Working condition, In original production bag". The essay names the brand only. Propstore's photograph of the lot shows the watch on a steel bracelet with the ALARM CHRONOGRAPH and WATER RESIST dial print, blue display surround and "Lithium" mark of Casio's A158 pattern, which is what supports the model here; the photograph cannot separate the A158WA-1 from its near-identical siblings such as the A159W, so the reference is the family's standard bracelet execution rather than a confirmed suffix.
