Walt Disney Animation Studios' animated musical adventure, directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard from a screenplay by Dan Fogelman, loosely based on the German fairy tale "Rapunzel". Rapunzel, a princess with magical, endlessly-growing blonde hair, is confined to a tower by the woman who raised her and finally ventures out into the world with the aid of an intruding outlaw, Flynn Rider, drawn by the floating lanterns released each year on her birthday. Released November 24, 2010, its production cost, estimated at $260 million, made it one of the most expensive films ever made. In 2025, marking the film's 15th anniversary, Citizen released a Disney-licensed CROSSSEA model styled on the film's lantern-lit night sky. (Wikipedia)
