A lonely, sleepless Vietnam veteran drives a New York taxi by night and drifts toward violence as he fixates on a campaign worker and a child prostitute. (Wikipedia) Directed by Martin Scorsese from Paul Schrader's screenplay, the film stars Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle with Jodie Foster as Iris, Albert Brooks as Tom, Harvey Keitel as Sport, Leonard Harris, Peter Boyle and Cybill Shepherd as Betsy; Columbia Pictures released it February 8, 1976.
