Fury's Polo is the white gold flyback chronograph, reference G0A32038, on a black alligator strap and driven by Piaget's in-house 880P, an ultra-thin movement that adds a second time zone and a large date to the chronograph. For the man who runs S.H.I.E.L.D. from an airborne carrier, a dress watch that tracks two time zones is the quietest possible piece of characterisation. The image is a behind-the-scenes set photograph, Jackson in Fury's scar makeup with crew equipment in frame, published by the watch press when the film opened; it documents the Polo on his wrist during production rather than a moment from the finished film. Rogers wears the 42 mm field automatic in the extended Steve Rogers material shot for the film and issued with the Blu-ray's deleted scenes, most visibly in the boxing-gym office, where his old trainer counts out his back pay. The theatrical cut dropped the sequence, but Hamilton confirmed the placement anyway, noting that both Captain America and Iron Man wore a Khaki Field Auto in the production.
