Hank Palmer wears a steel Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea two-register chronograph with a black dial and a black rotating bezel on a black strap. The vintage-diver styling is a sportier register than the dress watch a courtroom lawyer of his standing would be expected to reach for, and one that reads as of a piece with his abrasiveness. Watch-ID identifies it as the 40.5 mm Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph Q207857J, captioned under the name Deep Sea Master Compressor, and the Tokyo dealer Commit Ginza's 2022 column repeats both the reference and that name. Montres de Luxe, writing in July 2015, names a Deep Sea Chronograph without a reference, which is also Jaeger-LeCoultre's name for the separate 42 mm Q2068570. The clean courtroom frame shows the two-register layout and light markers at the bezel quarters, but not whether the bezel carries the Vintage's hour numerals or the 42 mm model's 15-30-45 minute scale, nor whether that model's chronograph-operating indicator sits below twelve. Montres de Luxe notes that Robert Downey Jr. is a longstanding Jaeger-LeCoultre ambassador who also wore the marque as Tony Stark in Iron Man 2 (2010).
