Ridley Scott's 1991 road film sends Arkansas friends Thelma Dickinson and Louise Sawyer, played by Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, on a weekend trip that a shooting outside a roadhouse turns into a flight across the Southwest, with Harvey Keitel as the detective on their trail and Brad Pitt as the drifter J.D. Worn by Geena Davis as Thelma Dickinson. Propstore's Los Angeles Summer 2024 live auction (August 2024, lot 1808, winning bid $4,725 including premium) sold Thelma's screen-used watch, worn on the drive to the cabin before the roadhouse: "a triangular metal Nelsonic watch with a pink leather wristband", its dial trimmed with faux diamonds, some of them loose. Nelsonic is better known for its licensed LCD game watches than for fashion pieces like this gold-tone triangle, and the essay names no model, so only the maker is established, by the lot rather than by a frame.
