Michihito Fujii directs this Netflix film, also promoted internationally as THE VILLAGE, set in Kamon, a once-scenic mountain village turned regional landfill; Yu Katayama (Ryusei Yokohama) has quietly kept its darkest secret since childhood, and the debts his mother leaves behind now threaten to trap him there for good.
