A holiday gathering threatens to go off the rails when Ned Fleming realizes that his daughter's Silicon Valley millionaire boyfriend is about to pop the question. Directed and co-written by John Hamburg from a story by Jonah Hill, the 2016 comedy strands the Fleming family in the gadget-saturated Palo Alto compound of a gaming CEO with no filter and no doors. Bryan Cranston plays Ned, James Franco plays Laird Mayhew, Zoey Deutch plays Stephanie and Megan Mullally plays Barb; 20th Century Fox released it at Christmas. (Wikipedia; IMDb)
Watches
- Apple Watch
- Worn by James Franco as Laird Mayhew. Mayhew raises his clasped hands while shirtless in the glass-walled living room, exposing the black rectangular Apple Watch and black band. The accessory sits against the tattooed wrist rather than a formal cuff. The frame supports the smartwatch family identification, but supplies no readable Series number or case size. (scene frame)
