A Cape Town homicide chief and his partner uncover a conspiracy reaching back to the apartheid era while investigating the murder of a young woman. (IMDb) Directed by Jérôme Salle from Caryl Férey's novel, the French-South African production stars Forest Whitaker as police captain Ali Neuman, who narrowly escaped death as a child during Inkatha's war with the African National Congress, opposite Orlando Bloom as his partner Brian Epkeen; shot in English, it closed the 2013 Cannes Film Festival before its French theatrical release on 6 November 2013.
