A Queen and an Old Maid (Yawao to Katako) is a TV Tokyo romantic comedy adapting Ayumi Osada's manga, broadcast weekly from 7 August to 25 September 2023. Shohei Miura plays Mutsuo Koyanagi, a handsome, successful lawyer who is also unabashedly effeminate, nicknamed "Yawao" (soft man); Rena Matsui co-stars as Fujiko Katagiri, an insecure, self-described "old maid" he meets at a mixer and takes it upon himself to rehabilitate. Their mismatched dynamic, and Koyanagi's own guarded history, anchor the series' comedy.
