Border

Directed by Hatano Takafumi and Hashimoto Hajime, this nine-episode TV Asahi series follows Tokyo homicide detective Ango Ishikawa, who survives a bullet to the head that doctors cannot safely remove; living with the fragment leaves him able to see and speak with the recently murdered, an ability he puts to grim use with the help of medical examiner Higa Mika. Shun Oguri stars, alongside Haru, Aoki Munetaka, and Endo Kenichi. A separate sequel film, Border: Shokuzai, followed in 2018. (IMDb)
