Colors of Sisterhood (若草物語―恋する姉妹と恋せぬ私―) is a ten-episode NTV Sunday drama that aired from October 6 to December 15, 2024. It credits Louisa May Alcott's Little Women as source material (原案) but is not a literal adaptation: the production relocates the March sisters to present-day Japan as the four Machida sisters and builds an original, contemporary "social-issue sisterhood comedy" (社会派シスターフッドコメディー) around them rather than retelling Alcott's plot scene for scene. Mayu Hotta takes her first NTV lead role as second daughter Ryo Machida, an assistant director at a drama production company who gets a shot at directing when a veteran screenwriter takes a chance on her; Sawa Nimura, Meiku Hata, and Neru Nagahama play her elder, younger, and third sisters, Megumi, Mei, and Eri.
