First Love (First Love 初恋) is a nine-episode Netflix Original Series written and directed by Yuri Kanchiku that streamed exclusively from November 24, 2022, built around Hikaru Utada's songs "First Love" (1999) and "Hatsukoi" (2018). Set in late-1990s Hokkaido, it follows high schoolers Yae and Harumichi as they fall in love, drift apart, and are separated for two decades after Yae loses her memory of him in an accident; as adults, taxi driver Yae (Hikari Mitsushima), a former flight-attendant hopeful whose career plans ended in that accident, and security guard Harumichi (Takeru Satoh) cross paths again by chance. The series became a global hit for Netflix, reaching the platform's non-English top five within its second week. (IMDb; Wikipedia)

Watches

Omega (unidentified model)

Worn by Hikari Mitsushima as Yae Noguchi. Mitsushima's adult Yae wears a rectangular-cased Omega across the series, per Jackroad's costume-loan archive of the production, which names no model or reference for the piece. Montres de Luxe separately reads the same recurring watch on screen as "clearly" a vintage Omega, probably from the 1940s or 1950s, with the Omega signature and a caseback buckle both legible, though its account does not describe the case shape Jackroad's record supplies.
