Hanzaisha

Hanzaisha (犯罪者, released internationally as Hanzaisha: Criminal) is a seven-episode Prime Video Original thriller adapting Ai Ota's 2017 novel of the same name, directed by Daiji Matsunaga and written by Takeharu Sakurai. After a masked attacker kills four people in a stabbing spree at a train-station plaza and is later found dead of an apparent drug overdose, the sole survivor, Shuji Shigefuji (Koji Mizukami), is targeted again by an unseen assailant. Detective Ryosuke Soma (Issei Takahashi), suspicious of Shigefuji's refusal to cooperate with police, saves him and turns to his friend, former TV reporter Nanao Yarimizu (Takumi Saitoh), for help; together the three uncover a conspiracy reaching into the food conglomerate Titus Foods and a senior ruling-party politician. Yusuke Santamaria plays Titus Foods sales manager Takeshi Nakasako; Shiro Ito plays the politician Mitsutada Isobe. The series streamed worldwide from July 17, 2026. (Kadobun)
