Johan Falk is the Swedish crime series that returned Jakob Eklund's Gothenburg police officer to the screen in 2009, a decade after his three cinema films, as the head of GSI, the Gruppen för särskilda insatser task force, over fifteen feature-length episodes released to DVD and television in seasons between 2009 and 2015 by Strix Drama and Nordisk Film. Beside Eklund's Falk the series follows Frank Wagner (Joel Kinnaman), the gangster turned police informant whose divided loyalties drive most of the run, with Mikael Tornving as GSI's Patrik Agrell; German television aired the run as GSI – Spezialeinheit Göteborg. Zenith Defy Classic Open El Primero

Worn by Joel Kinnaman as Frank Wagner. Wagner's large steel chronograph, its bezel of raised numeral blocks and the aperture cut into the dial at 10 o'clock, appears in a frame from the GSI episodes that an Uhrforum member posted in January 2017 asking for an identification. One reply suggested a Zenith Defy, a second posted a comparison photograph of the Defy Classic Open El Primero, and the asker closed the thread by matching it to a dealer listing of the Defy Classic Open El Primero Power Reserve. The frame shows the open balance window, the register at 3 and the power-reserve arc at 6, but not the case size or a reference, so the model rather than one execution is recorded; the same member later posted a frame from a later episode in which Wagner wears a different, quartz-looking watch that one reply read as a Gc Sport Class XXL, an identification left as a guess.
