Master's Sun (주군의 태양) is a 2013 SBS fantasy romantic comedy written by the Hong sisters. So Ji-sub stars as Joo Joong-won, a cold, mercenary department-store CEO who discovers he can banish ghosts whenever clairvoyant Tae Gong-shil (Gong Hyo-jin) touches him; the two strike a bargain, her working as his secretary in exchange for his protection from the spirits that plague her. Within hours of the series premiere, Timeforum poster 션칠아 identifies Joo Joong-won's watch by process of elimination: "오늘 새로 시작한 주군의 태양의 소지섭 시계가 멋있어 보였다는 정보를 입수하고, 해당 시계를 찾아보았습니다. ... JLC, 보메 메르시에의 홈페이지를 검색해보고 다음으로 모리스 라크로와... 들어가보니 동일한 것으로 보이는 시계가 나오네요 딩동댕!!!" (I heard So Ji-sub's watch in the newly-started Master's Sun looked cool, so I looked it up... I searched JLC's and Baume & Mercier's sites, then Maurice Lacroix's, and found what looks like the same watch. Bingo!). At least six other posters independently converge on the same brand that same evening, working from their own recollection of the broadcast rather than replying to each other: 안씨 ("디자인 보구서 모리스 라크로와 같더라고요," from the design it looked like Maurice Lacroix), 네쳐인 ("보는순가 모리스 라끄로와다! 했는데 역시나였네요," the instant I saw it I thought Maurice Lacroix, and I was right), and 데미소다토마토, 라하티코, 조금매니아 among them.
