Miracles (僕らは奇跡でできている) is a 2018 Kansai TV/Fuji TV Tuesday-night drama, an original script by Atsuko Hashibe, that ran from 9 October to 11 December 2018. Issei Takahashi, in his first leading role in a primetime commercial-network drama, stars as Kazuki Aikawa, a university lecturer in animal behavior studies whose single-minded absorption in whatever fascinates him, tortoises, squirrels, the students he teaches, upends the "common sense" of everyone around him even as it draws them in. Kaoru Kobayashi plays Shun Samejima, the dean who recruited Aikawa to the faculty and remains his steadying mentor. Nana Eikura plays Ikumi Mizumoto, a dentist Aikawa meets through Samejima's referral, whose own rigid self-image is gradually loosened by Aikawa's example. (Wikipedia)
