Rivals

Set in 1986 in the fictional English county of Rutshire, a nobleman-turned-MP and a self-made media mogul wage a rivalry over independent-television contracts, ambition, and each other's wives. (Wikipedia) Adapted from Jilly Cooper's 1988 novel, part of her Rutshire Chronicles, the series stars David Tennant as Lord Tony Baddingham and Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black, with Claire Rushbrook as Lady Monica Baddingham, Katherine Parkinson as novelist Lizzie Vereker, and Danny Dyer as electronics millionaire Freddie Jones. It premiered on Hulu and Disney+ in October 2024 and has since been renewed for a second and third season.
