StartUp is an American crime drama created by Ben Ketai that premiered on Crackle on 6 September 2016. Adam Brody stars alongside Martin Freeman, Edi Gathegi and Otmara Marrero in a story following a young Cuban-American programmer whose experimental crypto-currency platform draws her into an uneasy alliance between an ambitious banker, an FBI agent and a street gang. Worn by Adam Brody as Nick Talman. Montres de Luxe describes Brody's watch as a 36mm two-tone Rolex Datejust in gold and steel on a Jubilee bracelet, with a blue dial. (Montres de Luxe) Klocksnack members read the watch differently in August 2021. FreakyLeo photographed a close-up from the final episode showing a blue dial with a day window at 12 o'clock as well as the date, the layout of a Day-Date, on a two-tone Jubilee bracelet, and saw the seconds hand tick like a quartz watch; Pete11 answered that a Day-Date could be had on a Jubilee bracelet but never in steel and gold like this. The photograph bears that out: under the Rolex signature the dial has a day aperture at twelve as well as the date at three, a fluted bezel and a two-tone Jubilee bracelet. A Datejust has no day aperture, so the watch is filed under the maker's name alone, and whether it is a genuine Rolex is not established. (Klocksnack; Klocksnack; Klocksnack)
