The Big Bang Theory (2007 to 2019) was created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. Two Caltech physicists who share a Pasadena apartment, the fastidious theorist Sheldon Cooper and the experimentalist Leonard Hofstadter, have their routines upended when an aspiring actress moves in across the hall. (IMDb) The CBS sitcom premiered on 24 September 2007 and ran twelve seasons and 279 episodes to its 16 May 2019 finale, produced by Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Johnny Galecki plays Leonard Hofstadter opposite Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper, with Kaley Cuoco as Penny, Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz, Kunal Nayyar as Raj Koothrappali, and, from the fourth season, Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler and Melissa Rauch as Bernadette Rostenkowski. Watches
- Wenger Commando City 74714
- Worn by Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper. Sheldon's everyday watch is the brown-dialled Wenger Commando City, reference 74714: a 40 mm Swiss quartz two-eye with a second-time-zone register at 9, small seconds at 3, a big date at 6 and a single pusher at 4 o'clock, worn on its brown leather strap. A WatchUSeek thread opened in October 2010 ran through Kobold, Timex, Stauer, Citizen and Torgoen guesses before a member posted a frame showing both registers beside Wenger's product photograph in January 2012, during the fifth season; other members matched the pusher, the date window and the larger left register, and the thread treats the identification as settled. The same poster says the early episodes show a different Wenger on a green nylon strap, which no frame in the thread resolves. The thread also quotes Sheldon telling Penny in the first-season episode "The Loobenfeld Decay" (1.10) that his watch is linked to the atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado, a radio-controlled feature the Commando City does not have. - Suunto X-Lander
- Worn by Johnny Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter. Leonard's blocky digital is a Suunto X-Lander, the aluminium-cased wristop computer with a seven-segment display. The WatchUSeek thread on Sheldon's watch first describes it as a large negative-display LCD in a silver case, then names the X-Lander, with a third member agreeing that an altimeter, barometer and compass suit the gadget-minded experimentalist. (WatchUSeek) A member of the Spanish forum Relojes Especiales names Leonard's X-Lander independently, in an aside calling Sheldon's watch the more discreet of the two. (Relojes Especiales) Neither thread publishes a frame comparison, so the identification rests on the two forums agreeing on the same distinctive model.Scene image neededSubmit a scene still!
