The Jetsons (1962)

The Jetsons

The Jetsons is Hanna-Barbera's animated space-age sitcom, the studio's futuristic counterpart to The Flintstones, following George Jetson, his wife Jane, daughter Judy, son Elroy, Astro the dog and Rosie the robot maid in Orbit City. It premiered in prime time on ABC on September 23, 1962 as the network's first colour broadcast, ran a single season of 24 episodes to March 17, 1963, then lived on for decades in Saturday-morning reruns before Hanna-Barbera produced new syndicated episodes from 1985 to 1987.
