Yu Yu Hakusho is Netflix's live-action adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi's manga of the same name, one of the best-selling shonen franchises of the 1990s, released worldwide on 14 December 2023 as a five-episode season. Takumi Kitamura stars as delinquent-turned-Spirit-Detective Yusuke Urameshi, with Jun Shison as Kurama, Kanata Hongo as Hiei, and Shuhei Uesugi as Kazuma Kuwabara; the extensive supporting cast includes Sei Shiraishi, Kotone Furukawa, Meiko Kaji, Goro Inagaki, and Tetsunori Akera. The series follows Yusuke's resurrection as an underworld investigator tasked with recovering three stolen relics before their power threatens the boundary between the human and demon worlds.
