Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems with Koei Tecmo and published by Nintendo, released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on July 26, 2019. The player character, mercenary-turned-professor Byleth, is assigned to teach one of three student houses at the Officers Academy of Garreg Mach Monastery: the Black Eagles of the Adrestian Empire led by Edelgard von Hresvelg, the Blue Lions of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus led by Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, or the Golden Deer of the Leicester Alliance led by Claude von Riegan. The Cindered Shadows downloadable epilogue adds a fourth house, the Ashen Wolves, a small group of students confined to the monastery's Abyss underclass and led by Yuri Leclerc.
