Square's original entry, made with Disney and released in Japan on 28 March 2002 and in North America that September, the first game in the Kingdom Hearts series. Sora, a boy from Destiny Islands, is swept into a war between light and darkness spanning worlds built from Disney and Final Fantasy properties, wielding a weapon called the Keyblade alongside Donald Duck and Goofy.
