Atlus's original entry, released in Japan as Megami Ibunroku Persona on 20 September 1996 and in North America as Revelations: Persona that December, the first game in the Persona series and a spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei. Students at St. Hermelin High School gain the power to summon Persona, manifestations of their psyche, after a ritual accidentally opens their town to a demonic incursion.
