Konami's Tokimeki Memorial, directed by Yoshiaki Nagata with scenario work by Koji Igarashi, debuted for the PC Engine's Super CD-ROM² system on May 27, 1994. The dating simulation casts the player as a transfer student to Kirameki High School over three years of studies, clubs, and romance, working to win the heart of one of several classmates, most iconically heroine Shiori Fujisaki, by graduation. Its focus on stat-driven relationship building over sexual content helped popularize the dating sim genre in Japan, and the game was ported across numerous platforms into the 2020s. (Wikipedia)
