Touken Ranbu Online is Nitroplus and DMM Games' free-to-play browser and mobile game, launched in Japan on January 14, 2015, in which players take the role of a saniwa who brings legendary Japanese swords to life as human-form touken danshi ("sword men") to defend history from time-traveling revisionists. (Wikipedia; official site) The property has since spawned anime series, stage plays, and a film, and individual swords have inspired licensed merchandise collaborations, including two Seiko quartz watches sold through the PREMICO online shop.
