The Alpina Startimer is the Geneva maker's pilot-watch line, revived in 2011 and drawing on Alpina's own military aviator watches of the 1920s and 1930s. The collection runs from 40 to 44 mm across quartz and automatic executions, all sharing oversized luminous Arabic numerals, broad Flieger-style hands and an aviation-proportioned crown; a 2026 update brought a slimmer 40 mm case and the La Joux-Perret-built automatic calibre AL-525, with 198 components, 24 jewels and a 68-hour reserve.
