An Auburndale watch is a rotary pocket watch made by the short-lived Auburndale Watch Company of Massachusetts. Production of the Rotary began in 1877; roughly 1,000 were made before reliability problems ended the model, making it an early, unsuccessful attempt at an affordable American watch. (British Museum)
