Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Starwheel
More actions
The Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Starwheel revived the maker's wandering-hours complication in December 2022, two decades after the original Star Wheel of 1991 left the catalogue: three black PVD-coated aluminium discs, each carrying four hour numerals, rotate on a central carrier so that the current hour sweeps a 120-degree minute arc over a blue aventurine dial. The launch reference, 15212NB.OO.A002KB.01, is a 41 mm two-tone case pairing a black ceramic case middle and crown with a white-gold bezel, lugs and back on a black rubber-coated strap, driven by the self-winding calibre 4310 with a 70-hour reserve. (Audemars Piguet) (SJX) Photographed here in that reference; Tom Segura's watch in Tom Segura: Teacher shows the wandering-hours display but no frame settles its case execution.
