Audemars Piguet Millenary Selfwinding 4101
More actions
The Audemars Piguet Millenary Selfwinding 4101 is reference 15350, on sale from 2011, and it is the watch that turned the Millenary's 47 mm oval case into a stage for its own movement. The in-house calibre 4101 is mounted back-to-front, so the bridges, balance and escapement face the wearer instead of the caseback: hours and minutes are pushed onto an off-centre disc on the right with a small-seconds disc at seven, and the left of the dial opens straight onto the running gear. (Watch Collecting Lifestyle, Fifth Wrist, My Watch Site)
It was sold in steel as 15350ST and in pink gold as 15350OR, the version pictured here. Nothing about it reads like a Royal Oak: no octagon, no exposed bezel screws, no integrated bracelet. (PrestigeTime, My Watch Site)
