The Bell & Ross Vintage 123 belongs to the round Vintage collection the French house built in the late 1990s, a decade before the square, instrument-panel BR 01 became the shape everyone associates with the name. The 123 is the plainest statement of that earlier idea: a round case of about 38 mm, a domed crystal, a clean two-register-free dial with applied or painted markers and a date, and an automatic movement, made in steel and in gold. Bell & Ross was then working in partnership with Sinn in Frankfurt, which is why the Vintage watches of the period read as German tool watches wearing a French name.
