The Breitling Compass, also known as the Explorateur, reference 80940, is a rare navigational dive watch built with an integrated magnetic compass, readable through the caseback or removed for use as a handheld instrument. Engineered for "military and scientific requirements" and rated to withstand temperatures from -20°C to +50°C, it was produced for only a single year in 1986, making surviving examples scarce.
