The Breitling J Class is the yachting watch Breitling introduced in 1988, its name borrowed from the 40-metre J-Class racing yachts that contested the America's Cup in the 1930s. The original reference 80250 ran an automatic Caliber B10 in a steel case with an 18k gold bezel; a chronograph version, reference 80290 and later A53067, followed in 1989 on the quartz Caliber B53. A smaller "J-Class Lady," reference 80260, arrived in 1990. Breitling discontinued the men's J-Class and J-Class Chrono in 1993-94, keeping only the Lady model on under the name Lady-J until around 2000. (Bob's Watches)
