The Breitling for Bentley 6.75 Midnight Carbon is the blacked-out limited edition of 1,000 Breitling presented at Baselworld in March 2014, on the largest case in the Bentley Motors collection. The reference prefix M marks Breitling's Blacksteel: steel given a carbon-based surface treatment rather than a case moulded from carbon composite. It measures 49 mm across, on a black Bentley rubber strap. (BreitlingSource; Jura Watches) Inside is Breitling's automatic Caliber 44B, a COSC-certified chronograph, the same movement as the steel Bentley 6.75, whose knurled bezel and five-spoke caseback this one repeats. Both are lifted from the car: the knurling copies a radiator grille and drives the variable tachymeter scale, the caseback echoes Bentley wheel rims, and 6.75 is the Mulsanne engine's displacement in litres.
