The Cartier Tank Must LM WSTA0072 is the steel Large Model of the Tank Must, the line Cartier revived in 2021 to reissue its late-1970s answer to the quartz crisis: a Tank sold outside precious metal, at a lower price than the maison's gold and platinum Tanks. The current WSTA0072 keeps that democratizing brief with a 33.7 × 25.5 mm steel case, sapphire-set crown, black lacquered dial with rhodiumized sword hands, and a black alligator strap, powered by a high-autonomy quartz movement Cartier rates for roughly 16 years on a single battery. Its case shape and Roman-numeral-free dial trace directly to Louis Cartier's 1917 original, reduced here to the brand's leanest expression of the design. (Cartier)
