Casio CA-500WEBF-1A

The Casio CA-500WEBF-1A is the calculator watch Casio released in October 2025 for the fortieth anniversary of Back to the Future (1985). The silver-finish case sits on a steel bracelet, and the dial reads "CASIO OUTATIME since1985" over a grid, with the keypad rows picked out in the red, green and amber of the DeLorean's time circuits. A flux capacitor is engraved on the caseback, the film's logo appears on the buckle, and the watch ships in packaging shaped like a VHS cassette. It carries an eight-digit calculator, world time, dual time and a 1/100-second stopwatch. Casio published no edition size, calling it a limited edition without a number, and announced it on 14 October 2025 at €119 ahead of sale on 22 October. Regional references are CA-500WEBF-1AER in Europe and CA-500WEBF-1AJR in Japan. (Casio)
This is a tribute made four decades after the film, not the watch worn in it. The screen watch is the black-resin Casio CA-50 of 1984, and the two are often confused because this edition's marketing invokes the film directly. Casio's own descriptions of the screen watch are themselves inconsistent, naming a CA-500 in the press release and a CA-53 on the product page.
