The Casio Databank DBC-30 is a mid-1990s entry in the Databank line Casio began in the early 1980s, when watches such as the CD-40 first put stored personal data on the wrist. Running module 1253, the DBC-30 pairs a thirty-page Telememo directory of names and numbers with memo storage, schedule alarms, an eight-digit calculator behind its trademark keypad, and an electro-luminescent Illuminator backlight in a black resin case; the DBC-30-1Z is the black-resin catalog execution. Long discontinued in favor of the DBC-32, it remains the reference Databank of its generation and Dwight Schrute's information weapon of choice in The Office (2005). (Bandrew Scott)
