Casio Flip-Top watch
Photo: eBay (representative genuine Casio FTP-10)
A Casio flip-top watch is any of the calculator watches Casio built with a hinged metal cover over the LCD and keypad, concealing a secret-agent-style gadget look under an ordinary wristwatch case; the FTP-10 and FTP-30 are among the best-known examples. On the prop side, Propstore's own catalog notes that the flip-top watch worn by Tom Arnold's Albert Gibson in True Lies was custom-built and branded by the production to resemble a real-world Casio flip-top, opening to reveal an LCD screen and keypad, rather than being an actual Casio unit.
