The Casio G-Shock GD-100-1B is the plain black execution of the GD-100, released on 1 September 2010 and still listed as current. It is the large digital G-Shock built for legibility above anything else: 55 × 51.2 × 17.4 mm of resin around a display whose lower two-thirds are a single tall hour-minute-second line, with oversized buttons and an auto LED backlight. Module 3263 supplies the reason to choose it over a cheaper square: Multi Time, which keeps a home city and three additional local times running together, backed by world time for 48 cities across 31 zones. The military-style GD-100MS of 2011 is this same case and module in black and khaki, so a screen identification usually turns on colour rather than on anything mechanical.
