The Casio G-Shock GMD-S6900SM-1 is a G-SHOCK S Series model of October 2014, a standard catalogue reference rather than a collaboration or a limited edition. The GMD-S6900 is the DW-6900 reduced: the same octagonal bezel and three round graph windows above the display, brought down to 48.8 × 46 mm against the full-size 6900's 53.2 × 50 mm case. SM denotes the finish rather than a function: bezel, band and face are shot through with metallic flake, so the black reads as glitter in direct light and as plain resin away from it.
