The Chopard L.U.C XPS is the ultra-thin dress watch of L.U.C, the line Chopard reserves for its own manufacture calibres. Reference 161948-5001 is the 18-carat rose gold version of the 2017 revision, 40 mm across and 7.20 mm deep, with a satin-brushed sunburst silver dial, applied gold-plated markers and small seconds at six. It runs the self-winding L.U.C 96.12-L, a 3.30 mm calibre wound by a 22-carat gold micro-rotor, with twin stacked barrels good for roughly 65 hours, a stop-seconds device and COSC certification. Chopard built the same case in white gold, platinum and steel; the hinged-back Chopard L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer is a separate limited edition on a different calibre. (Chopard; Time and Watches)
