The Concord Delirium Mariner arrived in 1981 as the water-resistant branch of the ultra-thin Delirium line. Concord rated the 2.58 mm, 18-karat-gold quartz watch to two atmospheres and priced it at $4,900. (Horological Times, April 1981) The original Delirium, developed by Concord with ETA and shown in 1979, measured 1.98 mm thick by using the caseback as the movement's base plate. The Mariner associated with Scarface (1983) has a black dial and ribbed gold bracelet; it remains a probable match because the screen watch's markings are not legible.
