The Doxa SUB 300T is the professional version of Doxa's orange-dialled diver, launched in 1968 with a case rated to 300 m and, in its Conquistador form, a helium escape valve. Its defining feature is the no-decompression bezel developed with U.S. Divers and registered in the United States in April 1967: a unidirectional ring carrying the usual elapsed-time scale plus an outer table linking depth to permitted bottom time, so a diver could read a no-stop limit off the wrist instead of carrying tables. The orange dial was no styling choice either, having tested as the most legible colour at depth. Doxa has long tied the SUB to novelist Clive Cussler, whose adventurer Dirk Pitt wears one.
