The Doxa SUB 300 Sharkhunter is the black-dialled counterpart to Doxa's signature orange diver, built on the same 1967 case and no-decompression bezel developed with the US Navy but finished with a matte black face and stark white handset for divers who wanted maximum contrast over the orange dial's visibility-at-depth pitch. Some examples carry the US Divers/Aqua-Lung logo, sold as they were through Jacques Cousteau's American dive shops; Cousteau himself wore one. The oversized, fattened minute hand that makes bezel timing easy underwater is shared across the whole SUB 300 family. (Worn & Wound)
